Anglesey Camp 2005

Sat 2nd/3rd April 2005

Llanfair PG Station at night

On Saturday 2nd and 3rd April 2005 a selected number of Saltney Ferry Group went on a weekend camp in Anglesey. A total of 5 Scouts, 1 Explorer, and 2 Leaders went. All of which were excellent, and an absolute pleasure to take away for the weekend. On Saturday we walked the 'Cliff Walk' near Moelfre and Lligwy Bay. Camping at Tan-y-banc campsite at Penrynn near Moelfre. We then visited Beaumaris at night, Menai Bridge, and Llanfair PG railway station.

Sunday morning was spent on the beach with a Scout and myself entering the water, which was very cold. A couple of hours of fun was spent on the beach, before we went crab fishing at Beaumaris.

A lovely weekend was the result, and it was spent with six of the most well behaved lads you could possible meet. The island was brilliant, and everyone we met were so friendly. Definitely a place to visit again soon!
