Buxton Stock Car Raceway Visit
Monday 26th May 2003
The Bank Holiday weekend was spent by most of the Group at Buxton Raceway. The Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers enjoyed a full day of racing at the Stock Car Racing Track. The event was attended by 22 people, who watched races such as Robin Reliant Racing, Banger Racing, and a Demolition Derby. Each person was charged £8 for the day, which included entrance fee and transport.
The highlights of the racing were the Reliant Robins, and the Demolition Derby. Although the younger members will probably say helping to dismantle the car was better! The group enjoyed over 6 hours of racing, and special thanks go to Llyn and Paul for helping out at this event.
